Our roots

Hélène and Werner von Siebenthal opened the guesthouse Hornberg – with 24 beds – in the winter of 1936/37.

Thanks to their warm-hearted hospitality, the little hotel soon became a meeting place dominated by an atmosphere of open-door friendliness, a spirit that has remained the cornerstone of the hotel’s philosophy ever since.
